We are a group of believers committed to knowing Jesus, growing in faith, and serving our community.

Our teaching is rooted in Scripture, and our desire is to help people take their next step with Christ. ‍

What We Believe

Here is what we believe- in plain language:

The Bible

The Bible isn't just an old history book or a set of human opinions. Think of it as God’s personal introduction letter to us. While many different people wrote it over a long time, God was the "Lead Editor," making sure it all stayed on track to tell one big story: how Jesus is the key to understanding who God is.

God

There is only one God, but He exists in three "persons" who are always in perfect sync: the Father (the Creator and Ruler), the Son (Jesus, who came to earth), and the Holy Spirit (who lives within believers). They aren't three separate gods; they are one God experiencing and expressing Himself in three distinct ways.

Man

Humans were made to be the "best of the best" of God’s creation, designed for a relationship with Him. However, the first humans chose to do things their own way instead of God’s way. That "rebellious streak" (sin) has been passed down to all of us. We aren't just "making mistakes"; we have a natural tendency to drift away from God, which is why we need His help to get back on track.

Salvation

Salvation is the "rescue mission" for our lives. It’s a free gift that happens in stages:

  • New Birth (Regeneration): Your heart changes and you start fresh.

  • Clean Slate (Justification): God looks at you as if you’ve never sinned because of what Jesus did.

  • Growing Up (Sanctification): The Holy Spirit helps you become a better person over time.

  • The Finish Line (Glorification): When life is over, you are made perfect and get to be with God forever.

God’s Purpose of Grace

"Election" is the idea that God, in His kindness, has a plan to save people. It doesn't mean humans don't have a choice, but it highlights God’s sovereignty. Once a person is truly saved, God keeps them safe; they will never "lose" their salvation, though they might still struggle with sin and face consequences in this life.

The Church

The church isn't a building; it’s a local "team" of people who have committed their lives to Jesus and been baptized. They run their own affairs and make decisions together, but they always look to Jesus as the ultimate Boss. Their main job is to support each other and tell the rest of the world about God’s love.

Baptism and the Lord’s Supper

These are the two "visual aids" of the faith:

  • Baptism: Going under the water is like a public "rebranding." It shows the world that your old, selfish self has died and you’ve been raised to a brand-new life with Jesus.

  • The Lord’s Supper (Communion): Eating the bread and drinking the juice is a "memorial meal." It helps us pause and remember that Jesus gave His body and blood for us, and it reminds us that He’s coming back.

The Lord’s Day

Sunday is a special day for Christians. It commemorates Jesus rising from the dead and should be focused on worship, rest, and spiritual growth rather than just typical work or chores.

The Kingdom

The Kingdom of God is His reign over the universe and the hearts of people who choose to follow Him. We work to bring "heaven to earth" now through our actions, but the Kingdom will only be perfect when Jesus returns.

Last Things

History isn't just circling aimlessly; it’s headed toward a finish line that God has already set. One day, Jesus will physically return to earth. At that time, everyone will be judged. Those who rejected God will be separated from Him forever, and those who trust Him will live with Him in a perfect, restored world.

Evangelism and Missions

If you follow Jesus, you have the job (and the honor) of telling others about Him. This isn't just for "professional" missionaries; every Christian is called to help people from every culture and country understand the Gospel.

Education

Christians should value learning and support schools that teach truth through a godly lens.

Stewardship

Everything we own actually belongs to God. We should give our time and money cheerfully to help others and support the church.

Cooperation

Churches should work together for big goals (like missions) but no organization has "boss" authority over a local church.

The Christian and the Social Order

Christians should work to make society better by opposing racism, greed, and vice, and by helping the needy and protecting the unborn.

Peace and War

As followers of Jesus, we have a "job description" to be peacemakers. This means doing everything we can to stop conflict and promote fairness and honesty in how people treat each other. War isn't just a political issue; it’s a spiritual one. The "spirit of war" comes from a place that human logic alone can't always fix. The "cure" for violence is the Gospel. We believes that if people and nations actually lived by Jesus’s teachings—specifically his "law of love"—most reasons for war would disappear. Beyond physical efforts, we call for global prayer. We pray for a world where Jesus (the "Prince of Peace") is the ultimate authority, leading to a natural end to hostility.

Religious Liberty

The government should stay out of the church’s business, and the church shouldn't try to use the government to force religion on people. A "free church in a free state" is the goal.

The Family

Marriage is a sacred, lifelong bond between one man and one woman. Children are a blessing, and parents are responsible for teaching them about God.
